Do you think Death narrating the book created any effects on the book? How do you think it would be different if it was a real human narrating the story?

I think that if there was a human narrating the story, it wouldn't be as real as it was when Death narrated it. Death knew everything that was going on in Nazi Germany because it was there. It knew the truth, which made the story real. It had seen it all and it knew exactly what people were going through or what they were going to go through. Death kept the story alive with the truth, and a real human narrating it wouldn't have been as effective because they didn't live and see like Death.

I think that having death as the narrator really brought up a different point of view that was necessary for telling the story. Death paints things as they were. Humans don't always portray situations with authenticity. Death seems to feel too while a human may not have the same level of empathy.
