I know this seems kind of far off and probably not related, but I found it interesting that Liesel in The Book Theif has a brother named Werner. We also know one of the main characters in All the Light We Cannot See's name is Werner. I know there is probably no connection, I just want to know other people think.

I don't think that the name Werner brings the novels together. The only thing I can think of to explain the similarity is that Werner could have been a popular name in that generation in Germany at that time. And until I read this I had not even realized that the two boys shared the same name, good catch!

I noticed that too! I think it's an interesting coincidence. I found it thought-provoking that both Werners died tragically.
