On page 409, two "monsters" came to Rudy's house, saying, " Yes, but understand, Herr Steiner, this is all for a greater purpose. Think of the opportunities your son can have. This is really a privilege." This greatly reminds me of when Werner was offered a chance to join the Hitler Youth. Rudy delcined, Werner accepted, but they both ultimatley died because of it.
