The model of the house is what led Jutta to Marie-Laure and seemed to be a symbol of remembrance to anyone who possessed it. What did it mean to Jutta when it came into her possession and how did she feel when she learned about a piece of her brothers story?

I believe she was just curious. She basically found a large unknown portion of her brother's life that opened so many doors just when she believed she had closure. The house was more of a token to remember him by than anything.

The model of the house was first a gift given to Marie-Laure that was one of her last physical ties to her father. When Marie-Laure left the model for Werner, it showed that she had moved on after all those years of hoping for her father's return. When Jutta receives the model from Volkheimer, the reader can assume that she feels the same contentedness that Marie-Laure did after she left it for Werner. Although Doerr left the future of Jutta open-ended regarding how she felt about her brother, it is safe to say that she was relieved to finally obtain a sense of closure.
